KSU Screening (Direct Entry) for 2016/17 Admission Announced

Direct Entry (DE) Candidates who applied for the admission into Kogi State University (KSU), Ayingba for the 2016/17 Academic Session.
Eligibility
Candidates who chose KSU as
Most Preferred Institution, Screening would be through a computer Based Test (CBT) between 6th October, and 7th October, 2016.
Candidates who made the university their second choice need not register for the screening exercise.

NUC Sets to Scrap Diploma Programmes in Nigerian Universities

The National Universities Commission (NUC) says universities in the country would soon stop diploma programmes run at undergraduate level, the Executive Secretary of the commission, Prof. Abubakar Adamu Rasheed.

Federal University Dutse (FUD) has announced its screening exercise for 2016/17 Admission. Aspirants of FUD are invited.
Eligibility

WAEC Finally Releases Result of 2016 May/June WASSCE

The West African Examination Council today released the result of the 2016 May/June West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE).
It was learnt that a total of eight hundred and seventy eight thousand and forty (878,040) candidates, representing 52.97%, obtained credits in five (5) subjects and above, including English Language and Mathematics.

UNIUYO Screening Exercise for 2016/17 Admission Announced

The University of Uyo has invited candidates who made the University their first choice in the 2016/17 (UTME) and had a Minimum Score of 180 and above to apply for Screening Exercise scheduled to hold from 22nd August to 27th August, 2016.
Eligible candidates should pay the sum of N2, 500 (Two Thousand Five Hundred Naira Only).

EKSU Warns Admission Seekers to Beware of Scammers

It has come to the notice of management that some unscrupulous individuals are using the guise of Ekiti State University Admission Exercise to defraud some unsuspecting individuals, this is to inform members of the general public that Ekiti State University has not asked anybody to pay any amount of money for admission purpose.
The public should also be informed that it is only Admission Screening that is ongoing. Furthermore, if the University will request for any payment, it will not be into any individual’s account but to designated bank accounts of the University.
The general Public should be aware and to use only the EKSU Portal for any transaction.

JAMB Withdraws List Sent to Institutions for 2016/17 Admission

JAMB in a statement yesterday, disclosed that it has withdrawn the list of recommended candidates for 2016/17 admission earlier sent to tertiary institutions for consideration.
The statement which was signed by the Head of Media, Dr. Fabian Benjamin, stated that the reason for the withdrawal is to ensure that the university senate perform its statutory responsibility of selecting candidates and referring them to JAMB for confirmation in line within the admission criteria (merit, catchment and educationally disadvantaged states (ELDs) as stipulated by the Minister of Education Mallam Adamu Adamu.
