UNIOSUN: 2016/17 Pre-degree Admission Announced

Osun State University has announced the Commencement of its one year Pre-degree programme for 2016/17 academic session.
Applications are hereby invited from suitably qualified candidates.

REQUIREMENTS
Candidates must possess O/Level, SSCE (WAEC), SSCE (NECO) or equivalent with a minimum of four (4) relevant credit passes in subjects which must include English Language for Arts; and English and Mathematics for Sciences and Social Sciences. Candidates with deficiencies in their ‘O’ level results will be considered; but such candidates are, however, required to make up for any deficiency before the 2017/2018 UTME admission exercise.

JAMB: To Stop Setting Uniform Cut-off Marks For Institutions

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) may cancel the use of uniform cut-off points for admitting candidates that took the Universities Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).

JAMB's Spokesperson, Dr. Fabian Benjamin, gave the indication in a statement he issued on behalf of its Registrar/Chief Executive, Prof Is-haq Oloyede, on Sunday evening in Abuja.

The statement said Mr. Oloyede called for a national debate on the propriety of cut off marks as institutions should be allowed to determine the kind of candidates they wanted.

JAMB: Senate Finally Extends UTME Result Validity

The Nigerian Senate just passed the amendment to the JAMB’s Act into law.
In the amendment passed, the Senate strengthened the Board to allow the results of students in the annual examination be valid beyond one year.

Interested 2016/2017 UTME candidates who have not been offered admission as published earlier but had UNN Screening score of 200 and above are invited to apply for our advertised courses as follows:

UI: Releases 2016/17 Admission Screening Scoring System

· WAEC/NECO: A1(6), B2(5), B3(4), C4(3), C5(2), C6(1).

For the five relevant subjects the scores are added together to get G.

Score = (G/30) x 50 = O’level points (50)

· JAMB/UTME: Jamb scores / 8 = Jamb points (50)

Add O’ level + Jamb points = Weighted Scores (100)

UNILORIN: Inter-University Transfer Form Announced

University of Ilorin has announced the Inter-University Transfer Form for 2016/17 session.

1. All forms should  be  filled,  scanned  (into either  JPG,  GIF  or  PNG format   not  more  than  100kb) and  forwarded  to academicoffice@unilorin.edu.ng

UNN: 2016/17 DE Admission Screening Exercise Announced

Candidates for Direct Entry (DE) Admission into the University of Nigeria, Nsukka who registered with Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) for 2016/2017 are invited for compulsory on-line screening.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR ON-LINE SCREENING FOR DIRECT ENTRY CANDIDATES

1. Visit the University's website (unn.edu.ng) or portal (unnportal.edu.ng), log in with your UTME Registration number to generate and download a Payment Invoice which contains a Remitta number, the invoice will enable you to make payment at any Commercial Bank.

UNN Undergraduate Accommodation Information II (ENUGU CAMPUS)

This is to inform all University of Nigeria, Enugu Campus students that the Hostel allocation process will commence on Wednesday 5th October, 2016 by 10am prompt.
The process will continue until all the bed spaces are exhausted.

All students are to login to their portal and apply for hostel accommodation. There will be no concessions or room reservation. Failure to apply for a room online and make payments will amount to ‘No Accomodation’

UNN: Undergraduate Accommodation Information II (NSUKKA CAMPUS)

This is to inform all University of Nigeria, Nsukka campus students that the Hostel allocation process is still on-going and rooms are being allotted on a First Come, First served basis.

To this end, the final opening of hostels in Nsukka campus will be on Tuesday 4th October, 2016 by 10am prompt until all the bed spaces are exhausted.
